I had this cute tray that I thought might look even cuter with a little paint and some half beads. And I was right. It fits in with my decor style so much better now.
This is what it looked liked before. It was cute but it just wasn't quite the style I wanted. I knew it could be, though, with a little creativity.
I started by taking the tray apart and then I painted it in Antique White by Glidden in a flat finish. It took 2 coats of paint.
Then I added the wooden half beads that I found on Amazon. I attached them to the tray using wood glue. After the beads were on, I painted them and distressed the whole thing.
I put it on my kitchen table and styled it with some Spring decor. If you have a piece of decor that isn't working in your space anymore, try painting it. You might fall in love with it all over again.
