Charcuterie is French for "I'd like a sandwich, but I don't have any bread." Obviously it's not, but it is funny.
One of the things I love most about summertime is hosting gatherings for family and friends. And that means making a charcuterie board. They are the perfect appetizer.
Of course the main ingredient on most charcuterie boards is cheese, meats and crackers. But adding in fruits, nuts and veggies adds color and really brings your board to life.
When you're making a charcuterie board try to add in a variety of colors. I added some pretty preserved flowers from Verdissimo to add in some color. You can even add in greenery such as rosemary.
If you have dips or items that won't fit on the board use cute bowls and set them around the board. I always like to add toothpicks too. Get creative and enjoy.
