Can you believe Fall is just around the corner? It's my favorite time of year. Crisp air, falling leaves and pumpkin spice lattes! What's not to love?
I recently gave my fireplace a makeover and I couldn't resist adding a touch of Fall. I know it's early but hopefully you'll be inspired when it comes time for you to decorate.
I wanted my Fall decor this year to be simple and cozy. I found these cute heirloom pumpkins at Michael's and fell in love. I added in neutral foliage and white pumpkins.
Adding in different elements is a great way to add texture. This over-sized chess piece from QVC and textured vase from Anthropologie are great examples.
Did you know that you can easily paint faux pumpkins to match your decor. If you have old ones you don't love, don't throw them out...paint them.
I like my seasonal decor to flow with the rest of my house. Which is mostly neutral. It make it easier to transition from one season to the next while using existing decor.
A neutral palette doesn't mean you can't add some color. My niece and nephew gave me flowers for my birthday and they add the perfect pop of color to this space.
