Coffee Table Makeover

My husband works at a storage facility and sometimes he finds items that people leave by the dumpsters. He brought home this coffee table recently and I love it.

This is what it looked like when he brought it home. It was in pretty good shape other than some scratches on the top.

I started by cleaning the whole table. Then I sprayed it with The Prep furniture spray from Rethunk Junk and primed the legs.

Because the top was scratched I used Easy Off oven cleaner to remove the varnish and then sanded it down until the scratches weren't visible. This will also help the paint stick better.

After sanding and wiping the top down I primed it. Then I painted the whole thing Antique White by Glidden Paints. It's the perfect creamy white that I use throughout my home.
