Mantle Styling
Do you have certain blogs or IG accounts that you turn to frequently for home decor inspiration? I have many but one that is always a go to for me is Liz Marie Blog. Her use of neutrals and woods and whites in her home are so beautiful. I strive to create a cozy home and she has nailed that in her own home. So when I heard about her decor line being sold on QVC, I immediately had to check it out. I only snagged a couple of items, although there were several that I wanted. And I may still try and get my hands on a few more pieces. But the pieces I did get, a table clock and a woven basket, are so beautiful. I styled them together on my mantle.

I also added a fern from Nearly Natural Floral, a vase and some vintage books. I sat the clock on top of a couple of books to give it some height inside the basket.

I love layering items. I used an old window and a vintage garden gate to add some layers and texture to this space. Layering is a great way to add height and interest to a wall. Especially when layering items on a mantle or console table. My favorite layering pieces are old windows and large mirrors.

The wooden drawers just made sense in this space. They are perfect for storing remotes, extra candles and magazines. While also incorporating some wood tones into the mix. I also used some vintage brass candlesticks to match the brass on the clock and the lamp. I love mixing old and new elements into my decor. To me, cozy farmhouse style is a mix of new items with vintage flair and true vintage pieces that show their age and tell a story.

From the vintage chairs hanging on the wall (which, by the way, my hubby found in a dumpster at work), to the faux fireplace we built and the old door leaning against the wall. This space has become a cozy and warm area in our living room. And the items from Liz Marie’s line at QVC are the icing on the cake. Have you checked out the beautiful pieces she curated for QVC? Here is a link to see for yourself just how beautiful this line is. https://www.qvc.com/the-found-cottage/_/N-1e4zalu/c.html?redirectTerm=the+found+cottage I also have my eye on the resin bust planter and the brass candlesticks. Thank you for stopping by and reading this blog post. I appreciate it so much.
