Hello friends! Can you believe November is here? Where the heck did October go? Not that I’m complaining, November and December are the greatest two months of the year. That is just my opinion. But when you love Thanksgiving and Christmas as much as I do, you look forward to this season all year. It’s also a time when I like to start organizing and purging in our home. And in the spirit of getting organized I decided to turn the closet in our spare room into a mini office space. This room has gone through many phases. From storage to a bedroom for my niece and nephew. And most recently a guest room. Which I’ll reveal soon. Since we didn’t really need the closet space I decide to make use of the space and make a mini office. I started by taking the doors off and emptied the closet out. I also removed the molding around the opening. Here is what it looked like after the doors came off and I cleaned it out.

Pretty plain and in desperate need of paint. I had a couple cans of paint in my basement. One was dark gray and the other was off white. I mixed the two together and got a medium shade of gray. I painted the whole inside of the closet and added new trim around the opening. I painted the trim Antique White from Glidden which is the color I have in my whole house. It is the most perfect creamy white. I got the desk from Bestier and put it in there just to make sure it was going to fit. To my surprise, it fits perfectly.

This room just needs a few finishing touches but I really love how it’s turning out. The closet (office) is done and it turned out so cute and really set the tone for the rest of the room, which I promise I’ll be sharing soon. I’m just waiting on some bedding. But here is the mini office.

This was such an easy project. A bit time consuming with all of the painting and trim work but overall super easy and cheap. I added a little Thanksgiving vibe in here but I can’t wait to deck it all out for Christmas. Which will be happening very, very soon. Have you started decorating for Christmas yet? I’m an early decorator and I’m pulling out all of the Christmas bins this week. I can’t wait to share more on that later and all of the ways I cozy up my home for the holidays.
