Fall Bedroom Refresh
Can you believe we’re already a week into September? This is my favorite time of the year. I love everything about it. The cooler temps, the decor, pumpkin everything, changing leaves and cozy sweaters. I added some Fall touches to my bedroom and I love how the DIY fireplace I built fits in with it. You can see that post here https://simplyminedesigns.blog/wp-admin/post.php?post=1935&action=edit

I added these shelves from Decor Steals and decided to put some of the several empty frames I’ve acquired to good use. Frames are such a great and inexpensive way to add texture and layers to shelves. This room is feeling so cozy and warm. The rust color is perfect for the changing season.

How do you add cozy, warm vibes to your home? For me it’s all about layers, texture, candles and warm tones. There is nothing quite like being warm and cozy inside when the temperatures outside start to drop. I think that’s why I love this time of year so much. I’m a homebody and will find almost any excuse to stay in. I’ll choose a good book or Netflix and a cozy blanket over going out anyday. Especially when it’s cold outside.

The faux fireplace I made is the perfect addition to create that cozy vibe. It was such an easy project and super inexpensive. The cedar chest was a gift from my grandpa when I was 13 years old. He picked it up at a yard sale and fixed it up for me. Over the last several years it has had 2 coats of paint and then stripped back to the natural wood. Getting it back to this point was not an easy task but it was oh so worth it. Warm wood tones just scream cozy. Am I right? Now, let’s get our Fall on!
