Is Your Home Magazine Worthy?

Happy September sweet friends. I thought a lot about what I wanted to blog about today. The world around us is crazy and sad right now, and it feels wrong, somehow, to share accomplishments or happiness within my own world when so many others are suffering. But here’s the thing…we all have something at one point or another that impacts our lives and makes us feel like the world has stopped or like it maybe should stop. But that isn’t real life. Time doesn’t stop for you when you’re hurting. It keeps going and one thing I’ve learned is that our time is limited. We should use it wisely. So comfort those that are hurting, offer help if you can, be kind to everyone and if you have something happy to share with the world, share it. It’s okay to be ok when others are not. It doesn’t make you a bad person. Sharing joy lifts peoples spirits. I love home decor and interior design so when I feel down it makes me happy to scroll through Pinterest, Instagram or Magazines looking for inspiration. But what if all my favorite home accounts stopped sharing because they felt they were offending someone? I, and so many others would feel sad not seeing our favorite homes. So today I’m sharing my tiny accomplishment because I’m proud of it. And because maybe it will inspire you. So here it is…my home is being featured in the Fall issue of American Farmhouse Style. Just typing that is crazy. This has been a dream of mine for so long. And even though it’s a small feature, it’s huge to me.

Make time to celebrate your successes…no matter how big or how small.

It’s so strange to be flipping through the pages of this magazine and see my page. There are so many beautiful homes in this issue. A few of which I know and love from the Instagram home decor community. I feel so honored that my home is featured among these gorgeous accounts. This is something I never even imagined happening. I’ve always turned to magazines for inspiration even when I was younger. I have loved interior design and decorating for as long as I can remember. From decorating my bedroom when I lived with my parents to decorating and styling my own home. It’s just something I’m passionate about. But I never, ever thought my home would be found on the pages of a magazine. So of course when American Farmhouse Style reached out I was over the moon excited.

Because this is the Fall issue I added just a few pumpkins in the photos I sent in for them. I’m so proud of this accomplishment and I love how well the page turned out.

Thank you so much for stopping by my blog today! Please be kind, show compassion and love big. This world needs a whole lot more of that right now. <3
