Hello sweet friends! Guess what? Today is my birthday. And you know what I wanted to do? Stay home and get some Fall decor out. I really know how to party. Can you believe we’re more than halfway through August? Kids are back in school, the weather is finally starting to cool down and I’m seeing so much Fall inspo on my IG feed and in all the stores. Fall has always been my favorite season. And one of my favorite seasons to decorate for. I’ve been slowly adding some Fall touches to my home. Did you know that the transition from Summer to Fall doesn’t need to happen overnight. Adding some Fall foliage in neutral colors, Fall greenery and a burlap or neutral pumpkin here and there says Fall is coming but it’s not here yet. I actually enjoy the slow transition. It’s less overwhelming and allows me to clean and organize spaces as I go. Instead of bringing out all of the Fall bins and feeling rushed to get it all up in a day. I do have the bins ready in my storage room but I’ve been taking my time going through them and just bringing out a few items at a time. Today I worked on my little dining nook and put together this simple, neutral Fall centerpiece.

And here’s a little secret…if you don’t like the color of the pumpkins you have, paint them. I painted both of the white ones seen above. They’re super easy to paint and it instantly transforms them. There is just something about white pumpkins that speaks to me. Also, I get asked a lot about the cute candles under the glass cloche. They are battery operated and have a timer. You can find them here https://amzn.to/2WdTa0t

I love the soft glow they add to vignettes around my home. Candles just make everything so cozy. Don’t you think? Fall is all about cozy vibes and I’m totally here for it. Now if Starbucks would just hurry up and bring their Pumpkin Spice Latte back. To me, that’s when Fall officially starts and the money in my bank account ends. But for now I’ll just enjoy adding Fall here and there around my house while dreaming of cooler days.

The cute signs are from my sweet friends at http://www.krumpetshome.com and if you use my code SIMPLYMINE you can save an additional 10% off your purchase. They have so many cute, new Fall items.

Have I got you thinking about decorating for Fall? I sure hope so. And, as always, thank you so much for stopping by the blog today.
