Vignette Styling

Happy Wednesday friends! I went to bed with a list a mile long last night of things I wanted to get done today. This morning, however, I was seriously lacking motivation. Hopefully after all the coffee kicks in, that will change. I did get this vignette styled on my kitchen island. I love creating fun little vignettes, aka, a little grouping of all of my favorite things. The fun thing about them is that just by switching out a couple of items you can achieve a whole new look. One of my favorite places to add a vignette is on my kitchen island. Whether it’s a styled tray or a plate rack filled with pretty dishes. It creates a focal point that adds interest to this space.

Do you have a favorite spot in your home that is fun to decorate and change up? Changing the decor on my kitchen island is mine. Depending on the season, the holiday or my current design mood. It’s a space that wears many different hats. Is that how the saying goes? LOL. Basically this space gets changed often. I have other areas in my home that have similar groupings but they tend to stay the same. Unless the season changes or we’re celebrating a Holiday. For example the vignette on top of my apothecary or even my open shelves. Although we do use the coffee mugs and glassware on the bottom shelf, but they still have a designated space when getting put away.

For this particular vignette I used one of my beautiful turkish hand towels, a fern, a few antique mashers, a scale, some dishes and a wood “book” bundle from my shop http://www.simplyminedesignsco.etsy.com I’ll link the other items or similar items below.
